Pepper, Lemon and Salt: A Remedy With Many Health Benefits

It’s no secret that a well-balanced diet, regular physical activity and meditation/yoga (or whatever helps you deal with stress) lead to a healthy life. However, sometimes we need a little extra to pick us up. It could be a cold/flu, a toothache or nausea that’s bothering us, but whatever the cause of our current health issues, Nature usually has a remedy.

Pepper, Lemon and Salt

Thanks to its amount of bioavailable antioxidants, this simple remedy has some impressive health benefits and can heal various health issues.


Cold and Flu

Boil a cup of water, let it cool down a little bit (it should be warm though) and then squeeze ½ a lemon into the cup. Add 1 teaspoon of raw honey to the tea and a pinch of ground black pepper with turmeric and mix well. Drink the remedy 2-3 times a day.


Sore Throat

To treat a seriously sore throat, combine the juice from 2 lemons, 1 tablespoon of raw honey, 1 teaspoon of ground black pepper and 1 teaspoon of sea salt in a cup of warm water. Gargle the solution a few times a day.


In a glass of warm water, mix 2 tablespoons of lemon juice with ½ teaspoon of ground black pepper. Drink the remedy slowly and you should relieve the symptoms of nausea.


To treat a toothache, mix ½ teaspoon of ground pepper with ½ teaspoon of clove oil. Apply the remedy to the affected tooth/gum, let it sit for at least 5 minutes and then remove it by swishing water in your mouth.

Weight Loss

If you need help losing weight, try mixing ½ teaspoon of ground black pepper with 2 tablespoons of lemon juice and 1 teaspoon of raw honey. Put these ingredients in a glass of warm water and drink the remedy on an empty stomach every morning.
