3 Delicious Smoothies to Relieve Anxiety Symptoms

Research tells us that the number of people suffering from anxiety is steadily increasing. Anxiety, a crippling disorder that’s characterized by panic attacks, social anxiety, excessive worry, phobias, etc, affects both women and men, however, women are twice as likely to experience anxiety as men.

To relieve your anxiety symptoms, it’s a good idea to treat anxiety as you would any other health problem. In other words, to get better, prepare to nurture yourself, relax as much as possible and be patient.

To help you with on your self-healing journey, we have prepared three simple, delicious smoothies that can improve your overall health, help your body de-stress, and therefore relieve your anxiety symptoms. These smoothies are chock full of vitamins, minerals and antioxidants and can be consumed by anyone, but those struggling with an anxiety disorder will particularly benefit from consuming them regularly.

1.    Chamomile Smoothie

Ingredients:

  • Chamomile tea
  • 2 bananas
  • 2 handfuls of raw cashews
  • 1 tablespoon of almond butter
  • 1 teaspoon of raw honey
  • ½ teaspoon of cinnamon

Start by making a chamomile tea. Boil a cup of water, remove from heat and then add 3 teaspoons of dried chamomile tea (3 tea bags can also work). Let it sit for 15 minutes and then strain.

Once the tea has cooled, pour it into your blender. Then add the rest of the ingredients and blend well.

2. Rosemary Smoothie

Ingredients:

  • Rosemary tea
  • 1 banana
  • 1 peach
  • 1 tablespoon of lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon of almond butter
  • 1 tablespoon of raw honey

First, make your rosemary tea. Boil a cup of water, remove from heat and then add 3 teaspoons of dried rosemary tea (3 tea bags can also work). Let it sit for 15 minutes and then strain.

Once the tea has cooled down, pour it into your blender. Then add the rest of the ingredients and blend well.

2.    Tomato Smoothie

Ingredients:

  • 2 ripe tomatoes
  • 2 leaves of lettuce
  • 2 celery sticks
  • A handful of parsley
  • Water

Wash all the ingredients thoroughly, chop them and put them into your blender. Add a little bit of water and blend away.

Drink one smoothie a day and make sure you try all three. Try to get a sense of how you feel on the day you drink one of the smoothies, and when you find the one that relieves your anxiety symptoms, stick to it and consume it regularly.
